She Friend-Zoned My Love is a book written by Sudeep Nagarkar. Sudeep is one of the finest writers and I enjoy reading his books because of the way he describes the story and the storyline is not foreseen at all which makes you stick to the book. The story is about an accidental trio- Sia, Apurv, and Ritwik who ends up being best friends. Sia is a chubby girl who suffers from an inferiority complex. She is body-shamed by her classmates and her parents constantly bicker about her weight and career choice. While trying to commit suicide, Apurv and Ritwik stop Sia and they end up being best friends. Apurv and Ritwik never judged her for being fat and both acquired her the way she is and that's why Sia loved their company. Apurv is a youngster who is charming and likable but fails miserably when it comes to girlfriend.
The book gives us friendship goals until the entry of Amyra- a girl everyone wants. Boys want to be her boyfriend and girls want to be her best friend. Amyra holds lots of mysteries and no one knows what’s going inside her head. Sia and Amyra were from the same school and Sia doesn't like her. Apurv falls for her and tries every possible way to strike a conversation with her. He tries everything to make Amyra fall in love with him. Due to Amyra, disagreements occurred between the trio. Sia doesn’t like Apurv giving love and affectionate to Amyra and she thinks Amyra is not the perfect girl for Apurv. Ritwik is the most dependent guy in the group. You can see the changing scenarios between these four people. Between all these clashes Ritwik confesses his love for Sia and become each other’s support system. The story comes with a twist that will shock you and resolve all the mysteries of Amyra.
Every teenager can relate to the story as it contains friendship, love, betrayal, heartbreaks, career. Sia gets an important role in the book along with her boyfriend who values her more than her body. The book becomes interesting due to Amyra’s presence as there are lots of unanswered things and this keeps you read the book. Sudeep had made use of simple language and had use semi-formal, partly-slang language to maintain the connection with the readers. I have read previous books of Sudeep Nagarkar so this book didn’t please me more as other books are more engaging and have a beautiful storyline. You will enjoy the book if you like love and friendship stories.
